Overview
EpiJournal is an epilepsy journal app to log medications, seizures, and settings. By default, your records are stored locally on your device (offline). If you subscribe to the Care Plan and enable Cloud Sync, your data is stored in the cloud under your account for backup and restore.
Data We Store
- User-entered data: medication logs, seizure logs, and app settings.
- Account data (optional): if you sign in for cloud sync, an account identifier is used to associate your cloud data with your account.
Local Storage (Default)
- Your logs and settings are stored on your device by default.
- Only you (the device user) can access local data.
Cloud Sync (Optional, Requires Subscription)
- If you subscribe to the Care Plan and enable Cloud Sync, your data is synced to the cloud for backup and restore.
- Cloud data is accessible only to the user signed in with the same account.
Advertising and Tracking (iOS)
The app uses Google Mobile Ads (AdMob). On iOS, the app requests App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission before initializing ads. If you do not allow tracking, the app requests non-personalized ads.
Location
Location is used only for caregiver alert features when enabled by the user, and only while using the app as described in the in-app prompts.
