Welcome to PillMate (hereinafter referred to as "the App" or "we"). We take your privacy very seriously and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.

2. Data Collection

2.1 Data We Do NOT Collect

The App does not collect, store, or transmit any of the following data:

• Personal identification information (name, address, phone number, etc.)
• Health information
• Location data
• Usage analytics
• Device identifiers
• Any other personal data

2.2 Data Stored Locally

The following data is stored only on your device and is never uploaded to any server:

• Medication rules (medication names, times, reminder settings, etc.)
• Medication records (medication status, taken time, etc.)
• Photos and videos (if you choose to capture medication photos or records)
• App settings (language, reminder settings, etc.)
• Custom reminder sounds (if you choose to record them)

3. Permissions Usage

The App requires the following permissions to provide full functionality:

3.1 Notification Permission

• Purpose: Send medication reminder notifications
• Critical Alerts (iOS): Send important medication reminders that can bypass Do Not Disturb mode
• Data Handling: Notification content only includes your medication information and is never sent to external servers

3.2 Camera Permission

• Purpose: Capture medication photos or record medication videos
• Data Handling: Photos and videos are stored only on your device

3.3 Photo Library Permission

• Purpose: Select medication photos or videos from your photo library
• Data Handling: Only reads photos you select, does not access other library content

3.4 Microphone Permission

• Purpose: Record custom reminder sounds and medication record videos
• Data Handling: Recordings and videos are stored only on your device

4. Data Storage and Security

4.1 Local Storage

• All data is stored in an SQLite database on your device
• Photos, videos, and audio files are stored in the app's private directory
• No data is uploaded to the cloud or remote servers

4.2 Data Security

• Data is protected by iOS/Android system sandbox
• Other apps cannot access the App's data
• If your device is lost, we recommend using the system's remote wipe feature to protect your data

5. Data Sharing

We do not share your data with any third parties.

• No ad tracking
• No analytics tools
• No third-party SDKs (except the Flutter framework itself)
• No data transmission of any kind

6. Children's Privacy

The App is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since we do not collect any data at all, children can safely use the App.

7. Your Rights

You have complete control over your data:

• View Data: View all medication rules and records in the app at any time
• Modify Data: Edit or delete any medication rules and records at any time
• Clear Records: Clear all calendar records in settings
• Delete Rules: Delete all medication rules in settings
• Complete Removal: Deleting the app permanently removes all data

8. Data Retention

• Data is retained on your device only as long as you don't actively delete it
• Deleting the app automatically removes all associated data
• Reinstalling the app will not restore old data (as the data has been deleted)

9. Changes to Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page and the "Last Updated" date will be revised. We recommend that you review this policy periodically for the latest information.
